Mr. Albert Lee

I was born to the late Webster and Ernestine Major Lee on December 7, 1939 in Charleston, South Carolina.  I attended Catholic School and graduated from Burke High School in 1959. After graduation, I was drafted into United States Army. I served 22 years in the Army and Army Reserve and retired in 1990. I later started working for the New York Transit Authority. I worked for 22 years with the Transit Authority and retired.

I married the late Patricia Washington Lee and from this union, three daughters were born – Chauni, LaShan and Tyeast Lee. I have one son, Tramaine Lee, mother – Frances Cooper. In 1999, I married Barbara F. McKenzie King Lee and inherited a stepdaughter, TaKara King.

In 2004, Barbara and I relocated to Columbia, South Carolina. We joined Saint John Baptist Church in 2004. From the beginning I have been helping and volunteering in/with different projects around Saint John. I have served as church’s photographer, a volunteer driver for the Food Pantry at Harvest Hope Food Bank, member of the Gospel Choir, and the Trustee Board. My motto is to help and serve wherever and whenever I can. My favorite Bible verse is Philippians 4:13 – “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.”
